Reliablesite.net Hosting

I recently made a big decision to move from godaddy.com hosting service. Overall I have been moderately satisfied with godaddy . I have not had a lot of experience working with hosting, and godaddy was where I started.
I switched from godaddy because of several recent instances of downtime on their server.
One of the things I did like about godaddy was that you could call them when you had a question. But it was a long distance number with an average 3-6 minute wait time. In the end I often got contradicting, not always helpful answers from them.
When doing my research for a new hosting service I looked to avoid the trend that godaddy.com falls into, which is overselling server space. Many hosting companies offer huge amount of disk space and bandwidth hoping that you will never actually use it all. The problem is that if your site gets too big or too active the account you bought may not support it. The draw, though, is that hosting services like godaddy.com are cheap. In the end, however, my experience with godaddy re-enforced the adage, “you get what you pay for.”
In searching for a new hosting company I turned to the magnificant webhosttalk forum for hosters. I noticed that the someone with reliablesite.net in their signature was posting a lot of great responses so I decided to check out this person’s site. The thing that attracted me to reliablesite was that they focused on support and offered custom hosting plans! This was great because I knew I needed more than a shared hosting but did not want to pay for a virtual dedicated server. Their custom plan is like a la cart hosting. Delicious!
To test out their service I sent a couple emails asking about their company, service, and how they could help me. They do not offer phone support, which worried me because I like to talk to someone when I have a problem. However, I got a really great, in depth-response email responses within 20 minutes.
Since I have started with them I have received great advice, timely support, and a lot of help with transfering databases and wikis.
All in all, so far I am very satisfied with reliablesite.net. I look forward to this continuing . . .
