We Are What We Eat

An Apple A day
I am sure we could all think of at least one positive change we could make to our diet. Go ahead, think about it.

Maybe we would adjust the size of the portions we eat at each meal. Maybe we want to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Maybe we feel like cutting out some of the high sodium or high carbohydrate foods we eat. Maybe we want to reduce the number of toxins we put into our body. I know that I would benefit from eating less sweets.

This post is intended to be an encouragement for readers to make the changes in their diets that they have been putting off. Four months have passed since the New Year started and it is a great time for us to renew our efforts to take care of ourselves and make positive changes in our lives. The wonderful thing about making positive changes with our diets is that we immediatly start to feel physically, mentally, and emotionally better about ourselves.

A gentle reminder if you choose to act on my encouragement: what comes quickly in life tends to leave quickly as well. When working with lifestyle changes such as improving our diet, we should proceed with a steady and even pace. We may get results from making extreme changes in our diet, but these will not last long.

If we want long lasting results, then everyday we have to put in that little bit of effort to keep our discipline going strong.
